5-Tips You Must Do For A Live Book Event
When going to a live book event it is important to be ready for your fans. I have done over 3 dozen book signings, presentations, and classes, which resulted in excellent book sales.
Even though there are many things to consider, let’s begin with the five top questions my clients ask:
1. How do I know if I have enough books?
2. How do I sell my books ?
3. How do I price my books for a live event?
4. How do I deal with cash and/or credit?
5. How do I give receipts?
The Answers:
#1) Order enough books ~ Always have books with you when going to an event. I can’t stress this enough. You can ask the host of the event what their estimated number is. When you have that number order 5 more. People often will buy multiple for gifts. You can never have too many books as the goal is to not run out.
#2) How to sell them ~ Consider soft selling your books rather than hard selling. During your presentation refer to case histories in your book, read from your book, and mention you have them for sale after your presentation. The goal is to make peeps excited to read and want to have your book in their hands before they leave. BUT…super important….don’t oversell as it can turn peeps off.
