Make a wish . . . it’s okay when you are grieving the loss of a pet. When you feel your emotions of pet loss grief, take them by the hand one-by-one. Then look at each feeling that touches your heart closely — ask them, “What do you need to feel loved?” The answer may give you time to breathe, time to reflect, and time to heal. While you are walking your grief journey, it may be difficult for you to come up with healthy wishes. Grief has a way of stealing your soul from hope, joy, kindness, and compassion. Making a wish may not make sense. But one tiny wish can give you the hope to move forward with your healing.
