“Don’t take another step!” he yelled at her. Annabelle stopped with her arms raised, “calm down Jason,” she said, locking her eyes with his and trying not to stare at the tears drying on his face.

“I was right, he was crying,” Annabelle thought. “Are his tears a product of guilt for murdering an innocent man?”

Jason ruffled his hair with his left hand and kept a tight grip on the dagger, “I didn’t kill nobody,” he said with gleaming eyes.

Annabelle sighed and tried not to look in his eyes again, “I believe you, I really do, but what happened?” she replied. “Let’s go to the police right now so you don’t get blamed for this murder.”

Jason chuckled out loud and gripped the dagger tighter, “I am a fool Annabelle, but not a foolish fool,” he said and stared at her with his blue eyes boring into her soul. “His eyes should be illegal.” Annabelle thought as she almost smoldered in the heat but caught herself.

“D-d-on’t you think your brother would want to know about this?” She asked arching one eyebrow trying to gain composure. “Why would I want to do that he wouldn’t help me?”

“Seems like I’m late to the party,” Annabelle shrieked because she hadn’t heard the footsteps. “I know what this looks like, but my brother didn’t kill that man,”said Sean.
