The Innocent Smile of A Horse Saying Goodbye
Innocent Smile
I never wanted
To say goodbye;
I remember how much
You’d hate it when I cry.
But, Love, I can’t help it;
Now that you’re not here,
I need to release
This new buildup of fear.
Without your sweet nothings
Nibbled on my ear,
I’m afraid I feel lonely
And must shed just one tear
In memory of you,
Of your innocent smile.
I start to feel better;
The tears rest for a while.
But still I’m not happy
Without your sweet face;
The memories beguile me,
Lost without a trace.
