Pet Loss Can Leave You Feeling Wonky and Disconnected — Try This!
As you move through the journey of pet loss grief, you may experience a variety of sensations and experiences that may challenge you. The grief journey — no matter what stage you are in may present different choices for you to make that can be difficult. There may also be a variety of uncommon decisions that you didn’t expect to choose from and emotions to sort out. All of this may be challenge you to remain feeling connected to your companion.
Chaos Will Challenge
Keep in mind with all the chaos that may go on during this special time, you may also feel as if your connection to your pet is different — which is making you feel understandably uncomfortable. This is a very common sensation to go through. Grief and loss can easily but your mind on over-drive. When you are in that place it is difficult to feel balanced and connected to the world around you.
You may feel frightened because you are crying more in front of your pet during hospice. You may even feel as if you are struggling to create a different and more meaningful connection with your companion — but it feels impossible to do.
